What: Fall League #8 - Boys (ages 8 - 10) "Traditional Train & Play Weeknight League" 
Where: Crews Recreation Center - located at 1201 Crews Road Matthews, NC 28105 
When: 6 Tuesday Evenings - (October 1st - November 5th) @ 6:15pm (program runs from 6:15pm - 7:30pm)

All league dates - 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 12/5

League features: This league is a perfect fit for boys who are new to the game, or for those that have previous experience! All players will come in each Tuesday evening for 35 minutes of professional skills training, followed by a 40 minute league game. Our highly trained staff will handle ALL skills training, and game management during our sessions. Our program will be run by Coach Griffin Shaw & James Eckerman. *Staff will include former & current college players * Teams will substitute 5 in & 5 out to ensure equal playing time for all players *Teams will be balanced and formed on our first day to ensure close competitive games *We have no scheduled practices during the week, and all training will be completed before our games for parent convenience *Man to Man defense *5 Man motion offense *End of Fall season playoff bracket style tournament *Brand new uniform top included *Teammate requests honored - Come see why Charlotte Magazine named Yes I Can Basketball "The Best of the Best!"

Our First day report time will be 6:15pm on Tuesday, October 1st at Crews Recreation Center. Plan on your son being in the gym for around 90 minutes the first evening! On this day we'll draft teams/honor teammate requests, hand out uniform tops and schedules, assign coaches, and begin teaching our motion offense.

For the following 5 sessions, boys will report each Tuesday evening at 6:15pm for 35 minutes of professional skills training followed by a 40 minute league game - Every effort will be made to honor all teammate requests - but not if the request causes our teams to be unbalanced. "friendship will not overtake fairness"

Professional skills training will include - Ball handling, Shooting, passing, defense, rebounding, transition offense & defensive principals, motion offense, 1 on 1 moves & more!

FAQ: What if we cannot attend the first day evaluation?
No worries! Your son will be placed on a team, your schedule and roster will be emailed to you, and your son's jersey will be waiting for him at the gym next session!

Who will be training my son - coaching him?
Our "Site Directors" are carefully hand selected professionals that have impressive basketball experience - but also have the ability to teach and motivate young players. They will handle the instruction/drills each league day. We rely on parents to volunteer to sit on the bench with the boys during the actual games. Positive spirited adults with a love of serving are encouraged to sign up to coach!
